Man United Scout Denzel Dumfries But Signing Depends On One Player’s Exit

Manchester United could be lining up a move for Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries this summer.

According to Inter Live, the Red Devils could acquire the defender if they oversee the departure of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The Italian giants could be looking to offload several players in a bid to raise funds and ease financial strain, with United reportedly considering a €40 million offer for the Netherlands international.

Dumfries could be given starting role

Currently, Diogo Dalot is Erik ten Hag’s first choice at right-back, though he has trusted Wan-Bissaka and granted him more game time more following the World Cup. When Dalot picked up an injury on international duty, the Englishman was forced to fill in and displayed several fautless performances.

If the Reds do secure Dumfries, it’s likely he will rank higher in the pecking order than Dalot, due to his age and experience at the highest level. It would also mean the end of Wan-Bissaka’s time as a Red, as he won’t settle for being third-choice.
