Marco Asensio ‘Angry’ With Ancelotti, Would Be Open To Barcelona Offers

A fresh report from DEPREDICT has provided an update on the situation and the future of Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio.

The 27-year-old is out of contract at the end of this season and has been linked with several top clubs across Europe. The likes of AC Milan and Arsenal have held a long-standing interest in the forward and have been in contact with his entourage.

At the same time, Real Madrid’s arch-rivals Barcelona, too, have shown some degree of interest in Asensio in the recent past.

And, according to the report from SPORT, Asensio would be receptive to offers from Barcelona in the summer as he continues to grow frustrated with his situation at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Spanish international was completely out of favour at the beginning of the season and looked set for the exit doors. However, he was able to work his way back into Carlo Ancelotti’s plans and make some valuable contributions.

Following that, it seemed certain that Asensio will be signing a new contract with the Merengues to further prolong his stay beyond the summer.

However, things have changed again of late, with the winger once again finding it difficult to gather minutes, the most recent such occurrence happening against Real Betis last night when he was not brought on by the manager despite asking him to warm up for an extended period.

As a result, Asensio is believed to be angry with Ancelotti and the club, with the relationships said to be very tense. Given the scenario, an exit on a Bosman deal is not ruled out and it is claimed that the winger would listen to offers from Barcelona.

However, the Blaugrana for their part, are yet to make any move even though he is seen as a good market opportunity.

The La Liga leaders have other priorities at the moment and will only consider making an attempt if if becomes clear that Asensio will not continue at Madrid and if he is seen as a viable addition to their project.
