Marseille have confirmed the arrival of their new manager, Marcelino, Friday evening.
The 57-year-old arrives after a solid season with Athletic Club, leading the Basque club to an 8th place finish in LaLiga.
The arrival of Marcelino is part of the desire to give continuity to the club’s project,” Marseille general manager Javier Ribalta said.
“Our many discussions showed a shared determination and understanding. His expertise and his personality correspond to the requirements of the high level. His experience will also be a considerable asset to reinforce the work undertaken last season.”
