Marseille have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Watford star Ismaila Sarr.
The Athletic report that the young winger will undergo a medical on Monday, with personal terms already agreed by the two parties.
Sarr joined the Hornets in 2019 from Stade Rennais in a deal worth around €30 million. He made 11 goal contributions in 28 Premier League appearances in his debut season but failed to keep his side in the English top-flight.
The 25-year-old smashed 13 goals the following season as the Yellow Army finished second in the Championship table to secure automatic promotion.
But an injury-plagued 2021-22 campaign meant Sarr was limited to only 21 league starts as Watford suffered relegation to the second-tier.
Despite interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace last summer, the Senegal international stayed at the Hornets.
He scored 10 goals in 39 Championship appearances in 2022-23 but couldn’t help his side make a serious promotion challenge as they ended up 11th in the table.
Despite his contract expiring in 2024, Sarr hasn’t had any meaningful talks about an extension at Vicarage Road.
The young attacker is now set to move to France, with Marseille agreeing a deal with the Hertfordshire outfit.
The Olympians finished third in the Ligue 1 standings last term after they secured 73 points from their 38 matches.
They will have to go through the play-offs to make it to the Champions League group stages.
