The American MMA fighter, Shalie Lipp, had fought five games into her career and was about to face her sixth opponent on May 20. But a tragic accident took place, and she lost her life.
On May 7, 2023, Lipp was involved in a car accident on the I-94 bridge connecting Fargo and Moorhead. A 2015 Chevrolet Malibu collided with a 2017 Jeep Cherokee, and Lipp was a passenger in the former.
The 21-year-old was the only one not to put on a seat belt which was a critical reason for her untimely death. All the other passengers in the accident came out unscathed.
