OSIMHEN SCORES 4 GOALS AS SUPER EAGLES DESTROY AFRICAN OPPONENTS 10-0 IN AFCON QUILIFIERS

Victor Osimhen on Monday afternoon, 13 June, scored four goals for the Super Eagles in 10-0 win over Sao Tome.

Super Eagles of Nigeria on Monday afternoon, 13 June, continued with their impressive performance in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers beating Sao Tome and Principe 10-0.

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen was the hero of the day as the big player scored four goals for the Super Eagles in this encounter.

Having defeated Sierra Leone 2-1 in their first AFCON qualifying game in Abuja, Super Eagles players traveled to Morocco with boosted morale to face Sao Tome and Principe.

And they however did themselves lots of good as they recorded an emphatic win over their opponents.

Victor Osimhen opened scoring for Nigeria in the 9th minute after benefiting from an assist by Moses Simon before the Nantes’ man scored the second goal.

Terem Moffi made it 3-0 for the Super Eagles in the 43rd minute before Victor Osimhen grabbed his brace in the 48th minute.

Moffif scored his brace for the Super Eagles in the 60th minute as Etebo, Dennis and Ademola Lookman also scored for Nigeria in this encounter.

Napoli rejects £51million bid from Arsenal for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen

Arsenal have been told by Napoli to up their bid if they are serious about signing Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen this summer.

The Gunners have identified the Nigerian striker as a key transfer target as the English Premier League side tries to rebuild their squad ahead of the 2022/23 seaso.

Arsenal who have been keen admirers of Osimhen has tabled an opening £51million bid for the Super Eagles striker which has now been rejected by Napoli.

The Serie A side has told Arsenal they want at least £85m before they will consider letting Victor Osimhen leave having bought the Nigerian for £69m in 2020.

Mikel Arteta and Arsenal’s technical director, Edu are exploring attacking options following the summer exit of Alexander Lacazette who has re-joined Lyon after 5 seasons in the English Premier League.
