Report: Barcelona Want To Swap Ferran Torres For Atletico Madrid Forward

According to a fresh report published by Achraf Ben Ayad, Barcelona want to swap Ferran Torres in exchange for Yannick Carrasco.

The Catalans are keen on signing Carrasco at the end of the season, with the coaching staff already having given their green light for the transfer.

They have an option to buy him in the summer for around €20 million, a clause given to them as part of Memphis Depay’s move to Atletico Madrid in the winter of 2023. However, if reports are to believed, Barça do not want to spend more than €9-10 million on him.

Meanwhile, as far as Ferran Torres is concerned, the Spaniard is not part of Barcelona’s plans for next season if rumours are true. They will be looking for around €25 million for his services.

Barcelona want to reinforce their attack for next season, and are looking to acquire two left-wingers to replace their current options in Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati, and also a backup striker for Robert Lewandowski.

While Carrasco remains an option, they are also looking at Ez Abe for the role. Contracted to Barcelona, the Morrocan is currently playing on loan at Osasuna. Xavi and co. are convinced about his talents and want him to be a part of the first-team next season.

The only thing that can change Abde’s future at the club is if the blaugranes receive a huge offer for him ahead of the transfer window.

Marcus Thuram is also an option for Barcelona, but reports have stated that Barça are not fully sold on the Frenchman’s abilities.

As far as Carrasco is concerned, Barcelona will not move for him in the summer unless they get a deal good enough. Presumably, they will ask for transfer fees, too, in the aforementioned swap deal.
