THE MILDFIELDER OF MANCHESTER CITY WINS THE MOST SUPREME GOAL IN PREMIER LEAGUE

Fernandinho’s strike against Leeds United has been found to have been the most powerful in the Premier League this season

Outgoing Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho has been recognized for a unique record – the most powerful goal of the 2021/22 Premier League season.

His goal, a powerful strike during Manchester City’s 4-0 win over Leeds at Elland Road, was the one recognized as the most powerful.

Manchester City were in superb form on the day in West Yorkshire as they saw off the Peacocks in a routine win.

Fernandinho celebrates after scoring their side’s fourth goal during the Premier League match between Leeds United and Manchester City at Elland Road on April 30, 2022.

Goals from Rodrigo, Nathan Ake and Gabriel Jesus had put Pep Guardiola’s side on course for victory, but the moment of the game came through Fernandinho. READ ALSO Heung Min Son receive

The midfielder received the ball just outside the penalty area and he steered a powerful low strike past the Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier, whose touch was not enough to keep the ball away from the net.

That was Fernandinho’s second goal of the season, and it came on his 260th Premier League appearance.

The 37-year old’s strike was found to have travelled an astonishing 114 kilometres per hour on its way to the net. A total of 1071 goals were scored in the Premier League in the just concluded campaign, and this makes Fernandinho’s strike more remarkable.
