Barcelona captain Sergio Busquets is staring at a major decision in his career as his contract has less than four months left on his current deal.
The Catalans are understood to have tabled a contract offer for one year plus another optional twelve months based on the number of appearances he makes.
However, Busquets is not short of offers from elsewhere, with Ferran Martinez of Mundo Deportivo reporting that the 34-year-old has as many as five proposals on his table from clubs outside Europe.
Indeed, as per the report, the former Spain captain has several suitors from the MLS, of which two have made their interest known.
Inter Miami have been pursuing Busquets for a while now and have been joined by Canadian outfit Toronto FC, although the former is said to appeal more to the midfielder.
Apart from the USA, the Barcelona veteran is also attracting serious interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia, who are ready to hand him lucrative contracts to lure him to the Middle East.
Al-Nassr, who made waves by signing Cristiano Ronaldo earlier this year, are interested in Busquets and are willing to offer him a mammoth €36 million for two seasons.
Apart from them, Al-Hilal, who are pursuing the signing of Lionel Messi, are also keen on Busquets. At the same time, Al-Shabab, who have former European stars such as Grzegorz Krychowiak, Santi Mina and Ever Banega, are also interested in the Barça skipper.
The report also suggests that Busquets has suitors in Europe as well, but he has always maintained that he does not wish to play for another club apart from Barcelona on the continent.
So, five clubs from outside are chasing the 34-year-old’s signing, while he also has a contract offer from the Blaugrana in front of him as well.
Even though there are just three months left before his contract runs out, it is being suggested that Busquets will not rush into any decision and will take his time before taking a call on his future.
